On Sunday, 29th June, Echo Hill School Wakiso held its Academic Visitation Day, mainly for students in the boarding section. It was a well-organized and successful day that brought parents, teachers, and students together to discuss academic progress and student welfare.
The first parent arrived at exactly 7:20 AM and had come to visit a Senior Three student, Amanyire Daisy. He was warmly received and attended to by her class teacher, Mr. Kigozi Daniel, before leaving the school.
As the morning progressed, more parents arrived in large numbers. Some came using BodaBodas, others in cars, and some in taxis. At the school gate, security guards were doing a great job by checking all parents thoroughly to ensure no illegal items were brought into the school premises.

Under a tent at the gate, school prefects stood ready to welcome the parents with smiles and guidance. Some prefects were even assigned the duty of carrying parents’ luggage and helping them find their way to the correct tent where class teachers were stationed.
The class teachers’ tent was well-set within the basketball court, and they were ready with midterm report cards. After receiving academic updates from the class teachers, parents were directed to the bursar’s office for financial matters before finally being allowed to meet their children.
The activity ran smoothly from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the turn-up was very good, with most students receiving visitors. It was a day full of joy, learning, and encouragement.
We appreciate all the parents who made time to come, the teachers for their dedication, the prefects for their support, and the security team for keeping the environment safe. Echo Hill School remains committed to building strong partnerships between the school and families for the better future of our students.
